Description of problem: On my f21-test system, I am observing a menu text entry (e.g. in xfce or gnome classic, under "Apps"->"Other"), whose text is "OpenJDK 8 Policy Tool 1.8.0.11-19.b12.fc21.i386" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): see above. Expected results: I guess the menu text should be "OpenJDK 8 Policy Tool"
Hi. Unluckily this is not bug, but feature. you can have multiple versions of JDK installed, and in that case you need to recognize which policytool/console you are launching. I agree that it is not perfect, and much better solution would be to put version into tooltip. Unluckily gnome 3 still do not support tooltips. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1000212 ***

yes I really do. Explanations are in the original report. I really wish gnome3 support tooltips. I dont like this long names to. There is feature request for this. Old one.. ignored :(
