Description of problem: The upstream version of Net::Server provided by the perl-Net-Server RPM in epel-release-6-8.1.noarch is 0.97 while both epel-release-5-4.4.cip and epel-release-7-2.noarch offer Net::Server 2.007 which is roughly 5.5 years newer. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): epel-release-6-8.1 perl-Net-Server-0.97-7.el6 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. install perl-Net-Server from EPEL Actual results: a Perl module distribution from 2007 is installed Expected results: a fairly recent version of the same Perl module distribution should be installed Additional info: There is a CVE and associated EPEL bugs against 0.97 (which I'm not entirely sure are addressed by the upstream upgrade). See open issues Bug 920685 and Bug 920683 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=920685 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=920683).
