Description verm 2000-05-23 17:15:52 UTC
Installing redhat 6.2 fails when trying to install from the default
apache as delivered with it. In the apache error log it says:

[Tue May 23 17:35:17 2000] [error] [client 192.168.0.2] Invalid URI in
request GET redhat/RedHat/base/netstg2.img HTTP/0.9

The first image from http which should have been read, netstg2.img, is
there and is world-readable, but does not get over the line.

hmmm ... using apache to serve a HTTP install on a 6.2 system out-of-box is
working for me ...

perhaps recopying your install image again ...? Do you use a command similar to
below to copy or something different ...?

% tar -cSpf - /mnt/zoot/i386/ | tar -xvSpf - -C /home/httpd/html/6.2

or

% cp -avx /mnt/zoot/i386 /home/httpd/html/6.2

hope this helps ...
