The tool was renamed to softhsm2-util breaking all scripts using it. As I see its command line looks identical to the previous tool. Is there a reason for this breakage? Shouldn't the softhsm tool be provided as a link to the new name?

Unfortunately these tools are totally incompatible as they use different configuration files, format etc. So the breakage is much larger than just an executable name.
