Description Tuomo Soini 2015-02-01 15:58:47 UTC
Description of problem:

notify-python-1.1.1-23.el7 is part of core os - epel7 shouldn't provide newer version. If epel7 version is needed it should have release number < 1.

Comment 1 Orion Poplawski 2015-02-03 15:55:06 UTC
What repo is it in? I can't find it in centos 7 or scientific linux 7.

https://git.centos.org/summary/rpms!notify-python

Comment 3 Tuomo Soini 2015-02-03 16:11:01 UTC
I asked centos folks why package is missing from distro.

Comment 4 Orion Poplawski 2015-02-03 16:18:09 UTC
According to bug #1044650 it was dropped from RHEL7

Comment 5 Tuomo Soini 2015-02-04 08:27:02 UTC
Ok. This is acutally problem with published git.centos.org repos with dropped packages - those repos are not properly closed. I filed a centos bug about the issue and they will hopefully close these repos.
