Description Richard Körber 2015-02-27 17:33:48 UTC
Description of problem:
All of the spanish thesaurus files have a broken character encoding.

For example, the file /usr/share/mythes/th_es_ES_v2.dat is supposed to be ISO8859-1 encoded.

However, all the accented characters are not ISO-8859-1 encoded. Some of them are actually UTF-8 encoded, while others are entirely broken.

The .idx files are broken as well, and would need to be regenerated.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mythes-es-0.20130102-3.fc21.noarch

Comment 1 Caolan McNamara 2015-03-03 11:41:51 UTC
looks like there is a somewhat newer one at http://openoffice-es.sourceforge.net, i.e. http://openoffice-es.sourceforge.net/thesaurus/download/OOo2-thes_es_ES.tar.bz2 I could upgrade to that one anyway.

Comment 2 Richard Körber 2015-03-03 12:56:11 UTC
The encoding of the files in OOo2-thes_es_ES.tar.bz2 seem to be broken as well.

I have tried this file: http://sourceforge.net/projects/openoffice-es/files/Dicc.%20de%20Sin_nimos%202.x%20LGPL/060911/thes_es_ES-2006-09-11_0353-v2.zip

The encoding seems to be consistent there. However it's UTF-8 encoded, so the first lines of the .dat and .idx files need to be changed accordingly.

Moved to rla-es, this way we have a living upstream again. Checking the actual results from "a priori" in writer the results aren't busted anymore.
