Description of problem: With the --quiet switch (or -q), no progress bar should be shown. This worked in 1.16.1, but now with 1.16.2 a progress bar is always shown. This is annoying because it makes cronjobs send out mails on every run instead of only on errors. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): wget-1.16.2-1.fc21.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run "wget -q http://some/url" like this: $ wget -q localhost index.html 100%[================>] 3.05K --.-KB/s in 0s 2. 3. Actual results: A download progress bar is shown. Expected results: No download progress bar should be shown. Additional info: There's a bunch of upstream bugs for this: http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44403 http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44431 http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44479 It is obviously fixed in 1.16.3 (confirmed by a local build).
Thanks for the report. The 1.16.3 has been released yesterday. I'll update the package soon...
