Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.6.3-2.1.253.2.1

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.modprobe -r aic7xxx
2.modprobe aic7xxx
3.

Additional info:

My tape drive sounds like a vaccuum cleaner, so I only turn it on when needed. It is scsi. Usually, turn on, then modprobe -r aic7xxx, then modprobe aic7xxx gets it to notice tape. Fortunately, nothing else is hooked to scsi, so this is OK to load/unload.

But then this problem appeared.
Comment 1 Dave Jones 2004-12-08 01:00:34 EST
should be fixed in the latest 2.6.9 update.
Comment 2 Dave Jones 2005-04-16 00:10:04 EDT
Fedora Core 2 has now reached end of life, and no further updates will be
provided by Red Hat. The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel
updates for security problems only.

If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please
try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the
product version accordingly.

Thank you.
