Reported as a part of the following bug against RHEL 7.1 Release Notes: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1208164#c0 -----------------------8<------------------------- BTW: in all recent Red Hat pdf documents I cannot select and paste content correctly. For example if I select the latest line above, I get this when I paste it: system-co nfi g -kd ump co mp o n en t , B Z #10774 70 instead of system-config-kdump component, BZ#1077470 It would be nice to be able to copy and paste. ----------------------8<----------------------------- ...and I tend to agree that it would definitely make a better impression, as well as improve user experience, if this was fixed...if at all possible. Cheers, Jirka
I fully agree as the reporter of the referred bug. Hope it will be fixed if not intentional for any reason. The problem is present: - with Linux using Fedora 21 and evince-3.14.2-2.fc21.x86_64 - with WIndows 7 using Acrobat reader X1 (version 11.0.10) You can use as an example the do I'm going to attach Not all content but for example where solved bugzillas are referred. For example page 60 of pdf first lines ar eok, but the lines with "kernel component #..." have copy/paste problems. Thanks in advance Gianluca

This looks like a dupe of 1141312 as it's appears that it occurs when the kerning is wrong.
