Description Brian Ginter 2000-06-11 15:34:13 UTC
When attempting to run Xconfigurator I get the following:
Warning CHIPSET specification missing in card database entry S3 Savave4
(line 1445)
Warning CHIPSET specification missing in card database entry 3Dlabs
Permedia2 (general) (line 2916)
Warning CHIPSET specification missing in card database entry Intel 810
(line 3150)
Warning CHIPSET specification missing in card database entry Intel 740
(general) (line 3156)

This will display for a few seconds then continue as normal for one screen
until it crashes with this message:

       Server doesn't exist, cant continue.
tried to use../../usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_mach64

Mach64 is the server that was autodetected and used during the install.
This machine is a PIII-500 with a Diamond Speedstar A50.

In addition it gives me the following (non-fatal) message:

There is something wrong with the file
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config
This file should normally be a link to
/etc/X11/XF86Config
Shall I make that link now?

This should be fixed in the current beta.
