Description Federico Lucifredi 2015-04-07 23:42:24 UTC
Ubuntu does not have a stable kABI like RHEL, as a result it is extremely important to document kernel versions used in our testing and supported to the end user.

For 1.3.0, 14.04.0 kernel (3.13) and the 14.04.02 kernel (3.16) will be supported alongside RHEL 7.

"Ubuntu tracks the upstream kernel closely, and does not provide a stable kABI as a result. RHCS 1.3. is tested with the following kernels for production support: ...."

This is an important philosophical difference between RHEL and Ubuntu, and both QE and Doc need to be aware of it.

verified.

Note: QE will be testing the installation of Ceph on Ubuntu when it picks up 1.3.0 Ubuntu testing after 1.3.0 RHEL testing.
