Description Marko Myllynen 2015-04-20 04:00:05 EDT
Description of problem:
It would be nice if one could list all metrics from a subtree per instance, as in "tell me everything what is known about cpu2" or "show me all the metrics related to PID 1".

So ideally for example "pmval -i cpu2 hinv" or "pmdumptext -i -l 'proc.psinfo[1]'" would work.
Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 09:47:04 EDT
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
Comment 2 Marko Myllynen 2017-05-09 01:37:02 EDT
Since PCP 3.11.10 this is possible with something like:

$ pmrep -v -i cpu2 hinv
$ pmrep -v -i "'000001 /usr/lib/systemd/systemd'" proc.psinfo
$ pmrep -v -I -i 'cpu.*' ""

Thanks.
