Created attachment 1019171 [details] screenshot 1. Proposed title of this feature request I can't seem to find what is being synchronised on the Satellite Server. I've created a video to showcase this and uploaded the screenshot of the foreman/production.log Video--> https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bx1soQRNW2gnWFBXMjBuOVFZZUU 2. Who is the customer behind the request? This is Redhat Employee 3. What is the nature and description of the request? When I go to 1) Sync Status , then start a synchronisation of a channel 2) Its not telling me, what is currently being synchronised. 3) I then go to Monitor -> Tasks -> click on currently running tasks It still not showing me what is running, what is being updated. 4) I then go to tail -f /var/log/foreman/production.log I'm still not seeing what is being updated. 4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) I think we need to see more accurately what's running. If the sync fails or stops, than we know where its hang. 5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) We should use, maybe ajax, to dynamically update the page of what is being updated. Or at least provide a link to the log that we could monitor. 6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. N/a 7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? I've searched but couldn't locate 8. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)? Sat 6.2 9. Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input? No 10. List any affected packages or components. N/A 11. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented? Yes
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.
Moving 6.2 bugs out to sat-backlog.
You should see this in the 6.3 release. If 6.3 does not meet your needs, please feel free to re-open with additional information.
