From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040124 Epiphany/1.0.8 Description of problem: I was looking for kstars in the GNOME menu and discovered that it couldn't be found. Looking at the .desktop file it has the following Categories... Categories=Application;Education;X-Red-Hat-Extra; The same applies for all of the programs in the kdeedu package (and only those programs, on my system at least). Since there is no Education category in the GNOME menu, they never show up. I thought that the Bluecurve concept (and the freedesktop.org concept) was to merge KDE and GNOME environments and provide access to applications from both environments? I have not tried switching to a KDE desktop. However these programs should probably appear in the menu somewhere. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kdeedu-3.1.4-1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Search for KStars, Kalzium etc. on the Bluecurve GNOME desktop menus 2. 3. Actual Results: There is no Education category and the applications cannot be found under any other category Expected Results: The applications should appear under some category (Applications? if not a separate Education menu) Additional info:
In FC1, the kdeedu applications should appear in Others menu. i have added Education menu in FC2
There is no Others menu in my install of FC1... Good news about FC2 - thanks - looking forward to it.
