Description Dag Wieers 2004-05-06 21:30:10 EDT
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6)
Gecko/20040124 Galeon/1.3.14

Description of problem:
This is ifcfg-bond0:

---
DEVICE=bond0
BOOTPROTO=none
IPADDR=172.23.232.38
NETMASK=255.255.255.224
NETWORK=172.23.232.32
BROADCAST=172.23.232.63
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
USERCTL=no
---

This is ifcfg-eth0:
---
DEVICE=eth0
USERCTL=no
ONBOOT=yes
MASTER=bond0
SLAVE=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
---

This is ifcfg-eth1:
---
DEVICE=eth1
USERCTL=no
ONBOOT=yes
MASTER=bond0
SLAVE=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
---

This is ifcfg-eth2:
---
DEVICE=eth2
BROADCAST=10.80.255.255
IPADDR=10.80.16.2
NETMASK=255.255.0.0
NETWORK=10.80.0.0
ONBOOT=yes
---

When you boot this system, it will succesfully configure interface
bond0, eth0 and eth1. But it fails (ignores) to configure eth2.

If you however type manually 'ifup eth2', it works as expected.

So for some reason when starting the network it fails to detect ext2
or fails to take it into account.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
initscripts-7.31.9.EL-1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Take a system with 3 interfaces.
2.Configure them as described.
3.Reboot the system.

Actual Results: bond0, eth0, eth1 will be configured.
eth2 will not be configured.

Expected Results:  eth2 working.
