Description of problem:
Yumex-dnf freezes when click on a web link in bugs tab.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
yumex-dnf-4.1.2-1.fc21.noarch

How reproducible:
yes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open yumex-dnf main window
2. select a suggested update
3. click on button "Package Update Information" and then on a link of bug# list

Actual results:
Firefox starts and opens the dedicated Bugzilla page. Yumex-dnf changes the mouse cursor to edit mode and freezes forever.

Expected results:
Firefox shows the Bugzilla page. Yumex-dnf keeps to be respnsive to user actions, there's no freeze of the application.

Additional info:
Severity raised to high cause this issue makes Yumex unusable. You have close the desktop session or kill the background process manually.

Thanks for reporting.

could you pleas try this with yumex-4.1.3 in updates-testing

I can't reproduce this with chrome as default browser.

try running 'yumex-dnf -d' in a terminal and attach the output to this repost

Not reproducible in Fedora 22 with Cinnamon desktop. So I guess this is an issue related to LXQt desktop (Qt5 based), or generally Fedora 21.

yumex-dnf-4.1.2-1.fc22.noarch / yumex-dnf-4.1.3-1.fc22.noarch
cinnamon-2.6.6-1.fc22.x86_64
firefox-38.0.1-1.fc22.x86_64 (firefox-38.0.5-1.fc22.x86_64)

Comment 4 Raphael Groner 2015-06-06 09:26:49 UTC
(In reply to Tim Lauridsen from comment #1)
yumex-dnf 4.1.3 in updates-testing is not useful here cause of bug #1226514 that blocks further testing somehow.

Comment 5 Raphael Groner 2015-06-06 14:34:29 UTC
When I close Firefox, the yumex-dnf window is responsive again and back to work on user action. Maybe yumex-dnf should not block (and window seems frozen) while the browser window is open. This issue is not reproducible when there's a new tab opened in an already running firefox instance from somewhere else.

Can you try to run the following command in a terminal

# xdg-open 'http://yumex.dk'| echo $?

It should lauch your default browser and return to the prompt

Comment 7 Fedora End Of Life 2015-11-04 15:30:43 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 21 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 21. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '21'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 21 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 8 Raphael Groner 2015-11-15 17:43:41 UTC
Not reproducible in a system with Fedora 22 and all current updates applied. As F21 is going to be EOL shortly, I think this bug can be closed.

yumex-dnf-4.1.3-1.fc22.noarch
