Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): wireshark-1.12.5-1.fc22 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go into wireshark menu Help->About Wireshark 2. 3. Actual results: without Lua Expected results: with Lus Additional info: commit 8fa75b2 on git://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/wireshark disables it. The commit message say "temporary: disable lua". Any reason for that?

this is the reply from author of libBitOp: "These changes are most certainly wrong as they either lose the conversion semantics for FP numbers or they'll overflow for integer numbers." I think Lua is dead as extention language. You can close the this bug as 'wontfix' Tigran.

Is this still true? wslua seems to have a constant stream of commits upstream, so it doesn't seem dead. It would be very nice to have a script option for dissectors.
