Description Ronal Morse 2015-06-24 12:39:51 UTC
Description of problem:
Installed propeietary nVidia driver. Error appeared on next restart.
SELinux is preventing nvidia-modprobe from 'write' accesses on the directory /dev.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **************************

If you believe that nvidia-modprobe should be allowed write access on the dev directory by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep nvidia-modprobe /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 3 Miroslav Grepl 2015-11-10 08:31:30 UTC
Did you need to switch to permissive mode to make it working? Or does it work in enforcing mode even this AVC?

Thank you.

Comment 4 Ronal Morse 2015-11-10 16:01:24 UTC
Apologies. Sort of forgot about this.

Problem appears to be resolved as of version 23, or perhaps a newer version of the nVidia driver. The problem did not manifest when installed version 23. I'll mark it as resolved.
