Description Steve Adams 2004-05-21 12:25:16 UTC
Description of problem:
In /etc/yum.conf, the line
  distroverpkg=redhat-release
seems wrong, as there is no such package anymore.

I suspect that it ought to say
  distroverpkg=fedora-release

Version-Release number of selected component:
yum-2.0.7-1.1

Comment 1 Seth Vidal 2004-05-21 14:50:57 UTC
yum looks for any package providing the packagename in the
distroverpkg field.

fedora-release provides redhat-release

this also means one package can work for rhel and fedora core.
