Description georgen_za 2004-05-23 15:41:04 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040510

Description of problem:
A document viewed in the pdf viewer shows the content as either
missing or with 'wingdings' displayed instead of characters when
created in Open Office 1.1.1. The same pdf is correctly displayed in
either xpdf or ggv.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Gnome Pdf Viewer 0.131

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create the pdf in Open Office
2.Open the document in Gnome Pdf viewer
3.Open the document in both xpdf or ggv

Actual Results: The document does not display fonts other than Nimbus
Sans L correctly by either omitting them or displaying them corruptly.

Expected Results: The characters should be displayed in western fonts.

Seems to sync with the upstream bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139731 and I can confirm
reproducing this.

Umbrella OOo related GPDF bug tracker (upstream) is:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140337

Comment 3 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-10-13 13:55:55 UTC
Upstream bug fixed. Verified on Rawhide.

Comment 4 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-10-13 15:54:34 UTC
We should consider releasing an FC2 update of 2.8.0-2 for this. It's a
new major release, so that may be a problem though.
