Description Joshua Jensen 2004-05-24 10:17:20 EDT
Description of problem:

During a GUI install, X dies with this message in it's logfile:

/usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86: error while loading shared libraries:
liblaus.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

[jjensen@jjensen-lnx jjensen]$ locate liblaus.so | xargs rpm -qf

In the PACKAGES list in /usr/lib/anaconda-runtime/upd-instroot I see
laus, but not laus-libs

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2004-05-24 10:30:27 EDT
laus-libs was added slightly past U2 (ie, you'll notice it isn't on
the U2 discs) and thus wasn't accounted for in that anaconda due to my
lack of psychic ability. This has been fixed in CVS for U3.
