Er, it's crashing inside malloc? That's something I haven't seen before... glibc developers, any ideas?
A crash inside malloc is often a memory management bug in the application itself (overwriting metadata in the heap).
I would start by verifying you can reproduce the problem, then running the application.

Hm, I should have checked this earlier, but the crash server thinks this was fixed in 3.16.3. Now, there are only two reports of this ever, so it cannot possibly be justified in that claim based on that sample size, but it's true we fixed multiple memory corruption issues in 3.16.3... let's say this one is fixed until proven otherwise.
