this is a clock with a couple zeros and eights

Description of problem: Font changes to some "red ?" font for some letters which is totally illegible against the red background of font - multiple letters do this but specifically "0" and '8'

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 22 patched fully on 8/15

How reproducible: 10%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. bring up cinnamon desktop
2. wait till the bottom right clock has a zero or eight letter
3. or have a 0 or 8 in the text of any tool in the toolbar

Actual results: font color and background should not change for individual letters

Expected results: one font is fine

Additional info: sending a copy of the clock seen with a couple zeros and eights, another with all - have to type date to see time
