Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1256503
After wakeup from sleep: Desktop shortly displayed
Last modified: 2015-09-04 08:47:55 EDT
Description of problem:
When I wake up my laptop from sleep (open lid, press power button), it shortly displays the active desktop. (This may also happen when I come back for automatically locked desktop - I don't know right now.) It takes a second or two before the screen lock (screen saver with password protection) triggers. I consider this a security risk, as long as I haven't installed a transparent screensaver on purpose.
Note: I don't have gnome-screensaver installed. Whatever provides screen locking on a standard F22 Gnome install is probably to blame. I have no idea what the right component is - please re-assign.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. From unlocked desktop, press power button (assigned to sleep mode).
2. From sleep, press power button to wake up laptop.
See active desktop content for a moment, before screen saver kicks in.
See screen saver.
This system is updated from an F20 install via fedup. F20 did not show this behavior.

Reassigning to gnome-shell.
