Description of problem: When I boot my laptop(s), and close the lid, suspend doesn't work. After I log in to via gdm, it works---even if I log out of Gnome. Logging in at a virtual terminal doesn't help. I have to log in to the graphical interface. This is more than an annoyance: when I update that includes a kernel update, the machine reboots. I close the lid after the update, and a few hours later, I find the battery empty. I see this on three laptops running 2 different Fedoras: Lenovo Carbon X, running Fedora 22 Acer C720, running Fedora 22 Acer C720, running Fedora 20 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Is suspect, it's managed by the kernel. $ uname -a Linux apux1 4.1.6-200.fc22.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Aug 17 19:54:31 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. reboot 2. Close lid 3. Verify that suspend didn't happen Actual results: No suspension Expected results: Suspension (like suspend light comes up, battery doesn't die, etc) Additional info: Even the chromebooks have stock Fedora on them since they have their firmware replaced.
