A few fixes has been committed upstream after RHEL7.2 build that are worth backporting to RHEL 7.2. nm-applet is not run by default, but nm-connection-editor is probably used quite often parallel with gnome-control-center. And the libnm-gtk library is used in VPN plugins (called by gnome-control-center when the plugins are installed). The commits for backport are at least: https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?h=nma-1-0&id=6ee38dd8fb792a944ea597c9eba21f382d9c4836 https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?h=nma-1-0&id=a927e31d01361fe710908cf43f405b4a1899d827 https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?h=nma-1-0&id=77a97f52da18e8edc3515fe3a769ef81c887baf2 But, a few additional fixes are in upstream nma-1-0 branch, like Polish translation update, VLAN flags editing feature and error indication when validating connections. So I would say it is worth putting a new nma-1-0 snapshot to RHEL 7.2.
