Description Martin Gregorie 2015-10-05 11:06:38 EDT
Description of problem:
prelink could not find virtual address slot for /usr/lib/libfprint.so.0.0.0

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
V 1.0

How reproducible:
rkhunter suggested that I prelink a number of utility programs following a normal "dnf upgrade" run on the afternoon of the 8th of October 2015. This rkhunter run was the first since the upgrade. The message

prelink: Could not find virtual address slot for /usr/lib/libfprint.so.0.0.0

was output for all the programs that rkhunter suggested prelinking. These are:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login as root
2. Run prelink for any utility program that rkhunter thinks should be relinked
   or for /usr/lib/libfprint.so.0.0.0

Actual results:
$ prelink /usr/lib/libfprint.so.0.0.0
prelink: Could not find virtual address slot for /usr/lib/libfprint.so.0.0.0

..and the program does not appear to be prelinked.

Expected results:
The utility should be prelinked.

Additional info:
Running rkhunter with the options --rwo --check
reproduces the same list of programs and prelink suggestions.
