Description Jon Lane 2015-11-10 16:12:03 UTC
Description of problem:
Starting Anaconda while connected to a USB-tethered Android device causes the installer to hang when clicking next from the first screen, for about 20 seconds, and then the application crashes. The "details" output suggests that the problem was a failure to find a permanent MAC address for the interface. Installing from a regular USB2 Ethernet adapter with a fixed MAC address showed normal behavior.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100% of the time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot Fedora 23 Workstation live media to desktop
2. tether phone and connect in NetworkManager
3. start Anaconda and click "next"

Actual results:
Anaconda hangs and crashes.

Expected results:
Anaconda proceeds to install Fedora 23.
