Description RyanEatsFish 2015-11-20 20:37:16 UTC
Description of problem:
Reproduce-able...

From a locked screen (I have fingerprint login enabled _which I love, BTW_ click the screen and slide up, or using center mouse/tp button scroll up.

At logon prompt, click cancel and drop back out to locked screen image.

Then just click-press anywhere on the screen, and gdm drops out, and you swap over to TTY0 (or whichever one is at CTRL+ALT+F1...)

TTY1 (or whichever one is at CTRL+ALT+F2) gets a notification pop AVC denial, but you don't see it b/c you're busy logging on to the new session which then gives the impression that gdm crashed, etc. Anyway, the original session is fine, and just locked. Logging in correctly at the original session produces expected results.

I don't have the fix, but that is definitely the (a) cause. :-)
SELinux is preventing abrt-hook-ccpp from 'getattr' accesses on the file /usr/sbin/gdm.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **************************

If you believe that abrt-hook-ccpp should be allowed getattr access on the gdm file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep abrt-hook-ccpp /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp
