Description of problem: Reproduce-able... From a locked screen (I have fingerprint login enabled _which I love, BTW_ click the screen and slide up, or using center mouse/tp button scroll up. At logon prompt, click cancel and drop back out to locked screen image. Then just click-press anywhere on the screen, and gdm drops out, and you swap over to TTY0 (or whichever one is at CTRL+ALT+F1...) TTY1 (or whichever one is at CTRL+ALT+F2) gets a notification pop AVC denial, but you don't see it b/c you're busy logging on to the new session which then gives the impression that gdm crashed, etc. Anyway, the original session is fine, and just locked. Logging in correctly at the original session produces expected results. I don't have the fix, but that is definitely the (a) cause. :-) SELinux is preventing abrt-hook-ccpp from 'getattr' accesses on the file /usr/sbin/gdm. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ************************** If you believe that abrt-hook-ccpp should be allowed getattr access on the gdm file by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep abrt-hook-ccpp /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:abrt_dump_oops_t:s0 Target Context system_u:object_r:xdm_exec_t:s0 Target Objects /usr/sbin/gdm [ file ] Source abrt-hook-ccpp Source Path abrt-hook-ccpp Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages Target RPM Packages gdm-3.16.3-1.fc22.x86_64 Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.13.1-128.18.fc22.noarch Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 4.2.6-200.fc22.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Nov 10 16:45:19 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 1 First Seen 2015-11-20 12:28:30 PST Last Seen 2015-11-20 12:28:30 PST Local ID acc29555-bc84-405b-a3f8-6fd6ec268f2e Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1448051310.152:833): avc: denied { getattr } for pid=13485 comm="abrt-hook-ccpp" path="/usr/sbin/gdm" dev="dm-1" ino=399316 scontext=system_u:system_r:abrt_dump_oops_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:xdm_exec_t:s0 tclass=file permissive=0 Hash: abrt-hook-ccpp,abrt_dump_oops_t,xdm_exec_t,file,getattr Version-Release number of selected component: selinux-policy-3.13.1-128.18.fc22.noarch Additional info: reporter: libreport-2.6.3 hashmarkername: setroubleshoot kernel: 4.2.6-200.fc22.x86_64 type: libreport Potential duplicate: bug 1274741
