problem downloading photos from HP PhotoSmart 315 USB camera

Description of problem:
The download of the photos in the compact flash of the camera is very
very slow and after about 20 MB i get IO Errors and the remaining
files are not downloaded.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.plug in the camera, wait for system to find it (and modify /etc/fstab)
3.cp /mnt/camera/dcim/100hp315/* /home/photos
4.the first 20 MB are copied _very_ slowly, then i get IO Errors
Please attach the dmesg and /var/log/messages
(do not drop them into the comment box).
I know it's the same device as in bug 97154, but please attach
the contents of /proc/bus/usb/devices too (it may be different
due to the different host side).

Fedora Core 2 has now reached end of life, and no further updates will be
provided by Red Hat. The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel
updates for security problems only.
If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please
try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the
product version accordingly.
