Created attachment 1110231 [details] included COPYRIGHT The spec file states MIT as license of the package, where as the included COPYRIGHT (see attachment) looks like an extended BSD license. The extension may be question the state as being a free license. Gentoo's license team considers the license to be non free. Please revise the License definition.
Yep, thats BSD plus a patent suit termination clause. Running that up the legal chain.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 24 development cycle. Changing version to '24'. More information and reason for this action is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Program_Management/HouseKeeping/Fedora24#Rawhide_Rebase
Red Hat Legal reviewed the license and agreed that it was unique (not MIT), but disagreed with Gentoo. They feel that the license is Free and GPL compatible. We've labeled it as UCAR in our license list: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licensing/UCAR
License tag corrected in rawhide: udunits2-2.2.20-4.fc25
