Description of problem: Mount is done via UDP but unmount is done via TCP. This fails if a firewall blocks the TCP connection Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): nfs-utils-1.0.9-71.el5 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. mount a remote file system via NFS 2. unmount the remote file system 3. Actual results: umount will hang if there is a firewall blocking the TCP connection Expected results: umount should use the same transport protocol as the mount Additional info: This looks like Bug 513466 - Failure to Unmount UDP NFS Filesystems but that is reported as fixed in nfs-utils-1.0.9-52.el5
