Thanks for letting me know about the new upstream location, unfortunately this version seems to be a port to a development snapshot of allegro-5 and it is not compatible with allegro-5 as released, while also dropping the SDL port / support the 1.3.3.7 version has. Other then that there do not seem to be much improvements.

So I've decided to stick with 1.3.3.7, I've backported some useful splash-screen improvements / tweaks from 1.4.1 (and added an appdata file).

Since we're going to stick with 1.3.3.7, I'm going to close this bug.
