Description Ryan Howe 2016-02-08 22:26:04 UTC
Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-cloudforms/4.0/managing-providers/chapter-3-containers-providers

Section Number and Name:
3.2. Configuring OpenShift Metrics

Describe the issue:
- Most openshift shift environments are configured with multiple masters. The steps outlined here do not represent what steps are needed if using a multiple master Openshift environment.

- If a router is already scheduled to the the masters then it must be moved in order for this to work.

- Also notes need to be made on what steps need to be taken to modify the metrics to use the masters URL if it is already configured.

Suggestions for improvement:

- Make a note that these instruction are for a certain setup with certain components already configured. OR add section on how to configure for a multimaster set up.

- Add steps to add hostname to metrics pod and recreate certs to allow access via this hostname.

Is there any movement on this? As it sits right now we cannot truly get the functionality we want out of CF due to not really being able to connect our OSE infrastructure.

Thank you for raising this bug.

We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request for the documentation, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX.

If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Andrew Dahms.
