Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/16203 from this bug
making c#0 private due to customer name in it
This bug has a HUGE PM score, but it seems to be a bug about an unofficial project hosted on GitHub: https://github.com/boogiespook/sat6_healthCheck.git Why wasn't the request made as an issue to that github repo? If we want it to be official seems like we should have an RFE to bring it into the product. It also seems like there's a lot of overlapping random scripts out of the internet, as there's a competing satellite-sanity tool from QE. Let's pick one... As far as this bug goes - most of the original request seems to be irrelevant now, except for "qpidd queue depths": > check if the gutterball password is correct. Gutterball is no longer part of the product. > check if all TLS connections between the different components work OK. `hammer ping` should cover this > check the qpidd queue depths. What's involved in doing this? > Check for any paused/pending tasks The pre-upgrade check now does this: https://github.com/Katello/katello/blob/master/lib/katello/tasks/upgrade_check.rake
Moving to foreman-maintain component and turning it to tracker, handling the checks separately.
I've extracted the certs part into separate RFE for foreman-maintain. @Stefan: could you open a separate bz with more details on the QPID queues part in more detail and linking it to this BZ?
