Booting still hangs with rawhide kernel 2.6.8-1.541.
Booting still hangs with rawhide kernel 2.6.8-1.610.
The problem has its origin in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit, line 220:
needusbstorage=`LC_ALL=C grep -e "^I.*Cls=08" /proc/bus/usb/devices
This line hangs the machine. When commenting it out, booting continues
until "Checking for new hardware". Here it hangs again.
Booting finally works with kernel 2.6.9-1.640.
