Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Storage/3.1/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#Expanding_Volumes Section Number and Name: 10.3. Expanding Volumes Describe the issue: As per the Doc ~~~~~~~~~~ Note When expanding distributed replicated volumes, the number of bricks being added must be a multiple of the replica count. For example, to expand a distributed replicated volume with a replica count of 2, you need to add bricks in multiples of 2 (such as 4, 6, 8, etc.). ~~~~~~~~~~ Suggestions for improvement: If i am correct, it should be both replicated and distributed replicated volumes (not only distributed replicated volumes). It may make customer confused if it only applicable for distributed replicated volumes or for both. Additional information:
Yes to a certain extent, However once a replicated volume has bricks or pair of bricks added, it is no more a pure replicated volume, it is now a distributed-replicated volume.
Verified the changes which looks good to me; moving to verified http://jenkinscat.gsslab.pnq.redhat.com:8080/view/Gluster/job/doc-Red_Hat_Gluster_Storage-3.1-Administration_Guide%20%28html-single%29/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/tmp/en-US/html-single/index.html#Expanding_Volumes
