Created attachment 1136601 [details] Patch file suitable for inclusion in SRPM When timestamps are enabled in the pidgin chat windows the timestamps are scanned for smiley character sequences. E.g. the time 10:30 appears as 10 (cat) 0 This has been reported and solve in the pidgin community. This patch disables smiley processing of these time stamps. The original fix was provided to the pidgin community by mmcco https://developer.pidgin.im/attachment/ticket/16747/history-smiley.diff Inserting this patch as Patch120: pidgin-2.10.11-history-smiley.patch in the pidgin-2.10.11-16.fc23.src.rpm builds nicely and makes the error disappear.
