Description Mike McCune 2016-03-23 21:59:57 UTC
Reviewing the latest Installation Guide shows some errors in the section on generating the certs and installing the capsule:

The install section:

"""
Create the certificates archive on Satellite Server.
# foreman-installer
--certs-generate
--capsule-parent-fqdn "capsule.example.com" \
...
"""

is wrong and should be as shown here in the upstream docs:

http://www.katello.org/docs/3.0/installation/capsule.html

The subsequent commands to install the capsule are also off, see the above upstream doc for the correct command:

"""
  subscription-manager register --org "Default_Organization"
  foreman-installer --scenario capsule\
                    --parent-fqdn "katello.example.com"\
                    --register-in-foreman "true"\
                    --foreman-base-url "https://katello.example.com"\
                    --trusted-hosts "katello.example.com"\
                    --trusted-hosts "mycapsule.example.com"\
                    --oauth-consumer-key "UVrAZfMaCfBiiWejoUVLYCZHT2xhzuFV"\
                    --oauth-consumer-secret "ZhH8p7M577ttNU3WmUGWASag3JeXKgUX"\
                    --pulp-oauth-secret "TPk42MYZ42nAE3rZvyLBh7Lxob3nEUi8"\
                    --certs-tar "~/mycapsule.example.com-certs.tar"
"""
