Created attachment 1140455 [details] Xorg.0.log Description of problem: Running either the Unity3D engine or editor results in constant crashes of the session (similar effect to a gdm restart) which seem to be caused by Xorg. The Xorg log contains messages like this one: "[ 1471.242] (WW) xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed: Input/output error" I have also noticed that all of the TTYs seem to randomly stop working which I guess might be connected - I can still switch to them but I'm seeing the boot text in wrong yellow colors stuck and no actual login. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): [root@falcon unity]# Xorg -version X.Org X Server 1.18.1 Release Date: 2016-02-08 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: 4.3.5-300.fc23.x86_64 Current Operating System: Linux falcon 4.4.5-300.fc23.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Mar 10 17:54:44 UTC 2016 x86_64 Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-4.4.5-300.fc23.x86_64 root=/dev/mapper/fedora-root ro rd.lvm.lv=fedora/root rd.luks.uuid=luks-beba15c4-0d61-454d-8df6-c7ea9b821fe3 rhgb quiet LANG=en_US.UTF-8 Build Date: 09 March 2016 05:53:36AM Build ID: xorg-x11-server 1.18.1-3.fc23 Current version of pixman: 0.34.0 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. [root@falcon unity]# How reproducible: Happens very reliably every 2-4 hours when running either the Unity3d editor or engine version 5.3.4f1 / linux x86_64. I have other Unity3d-based games installed through Valve's Steam which don't trigger this issue, so either it was caused recently by a change in Xorg or Kernel or it only happens with this new Unity3d version. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run the Unity3d editor 2. Bake static lightmaps in a larger level (this might or might not be related) 3. Move objects around and occasionally run the playtest Actual results: Xorg crashes out of nothing every 2-3 hours, but strictly correlating with either the Unity3d 5.3.4f1 editor or player running Expected results: Xorg doesn't crash Additional info:

This is seriously starting to disrupt my work. I sometimes render music in Virtualbox and I have trouble finishing any of the processes because X is crashing all the time. Do you still need some information from me to look into this?
This message is a reminder that Fedora 23 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 23. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '23'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 23 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 23 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-12-20. Fedora 23 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
