Description Alex 2016-03-28 15:38:17 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): freeipa 4.2.3

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure there is as little space in /tmp as possible, so tar will fail during full backup.
2. Run full backup: # /usr/sbin/ipa-backup
3. Observe service is not up. # systemctl status ipa

Actual results:
No backup is created and service is not running.

Expected results:
No backup is created but service is running.

Hello,

we need more details, can you please provide logs, or output of the backup command? Which service are not running, ipactl status?

Comment 2 Martin Bašti 2016-05-23 11:06:23 UTC
Sorry, never mind. I didn't noticed that there is no space on disk.

Comment 3 Martin Bašti 2016-05-25 13:25:21 UTC
As this happens only with full disk, we won't fix this issue. Please make sure there is enough space on disk before backup.
