Description Thom Carlin 2016-03-30 15:24:32 UTC
Description of problem:

In Register Nodes, deleting a node does not provide feedback that the delete is done in background.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

TP3 RC2

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install QCI and QCIOOO-7 ISOs
2. Log in to run launch-fusor*-installer
3. Deploy OpenStack
4. In Register Nodes, Register 2 nodes
5. Delete a node (Are you sure?)

Actual results:

Error message not removed (even though the node is gone)
Control returns to user but delete is still ongoing.
At later point, node is suddenly removed

Expected results:

Either message indicating delete is going on in background and indicator on screen OR
don't return until node is delete

Additional info:

Introspection tasks remain (Monitor > Tasks). They should also be cleaned up.

https://github.com/fusor/fusor/pull/985

When deleting a node (which is a background process) let the user know it is being deleted:
- displayed spinner
- line-through of node label
- disabled delete button.

Let me know if this is sufficient user feedback.

Comment 3 Landon LaSmith 2016-07-15 16:32:23 UTC
Verified. I was able to delete nodes in the webui for valid and unavailable nodes. Deleted nodes were removed from the undercloud successfully
