This update provides the following technology preview: The director provides an option to integrate services from OpenStack's containerization project (kolla) into the Overcloud's Compute nodes. This includes creating Compute nodes that use Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host as a base operating system and individual containers to run different OpenStack services.

Description Jeff Peeler 2016-03-31 13:57:18 EDT
This bug serves as a permission grant to rebuild containers for ospd8.
Comment 2 Jeff Peeler 2016-03-31 13:59:30 EDT
Note that this particular rebuild is just a trial run, so I'm not sure the QA ack or PM ack means much in this case. But they still need to be done so I can proceed with rebuilding.
Comment 5 Mike Burns 2016-04-07 17:36:02 EDT
This bug did not make the OSP 8.0 release. It is being deferred to OSP 10.
Comment 6 Mike Burns 2016-04-08 08:14:06 EDT
bugzilla mistakenly moved to OSP10
Comment 7 Jeff Peeler 2016-04-11 09:40:43 EDT
Ignore comment 2 I made, this is for GA. Here are all the brew task links:

All of these container builds need to be placed on registry.access.redhat.com. My understanding is this is a manual process, so the expected name is what I have above with the "-docker" part dropped.

is not able to finish until the timeout of 120 minutes. As fhubik says, there must be some problem with the network.
Comment 29 Jaroslav Henner 2016-04-26 12:33:45 EDT
The same happened without the

    -e /usr/share/openstack-tripleo-heat-templates/environments/network-isolation.yaml
Comment 30 Jeff Peeler 2016-05-02 21:17:03 EDT
Jaroslav - I've tried reproducing this and *have* consistently seen a stack failure when using the --ntp-server option (puppet errors). Can you try redeploying without that option? If this clear things up, I can probably handle it from here.

If you're still experiencing an issue, I'd like to verify that without network isolation the issue still exists and we'll go from there. It may not hurt to go ahead and upload any custom templates (my_templates) you're using.
Comment 31 Jeff Peeler 2016-05-02 21:18:35 EDT
Also, this problem really should probably be described in another bug. But we'll wait to see what the results of the above request is first.
Comment 32 Mike Burns 2016-05-03 11:32:29 EDT
