Description Stephen Gilson 2016-04-08 12:11:29 UTC
Two updates are needed to the RHEL 7.2 Release Notes:

1. The Intel i40e NIC is being promoted from Tech Preview to full support. Please update the 7.2 Release Notes with details about this change in status and provide information on "limited scenarios" supported.

CCS DEPENDENCY: Language needed from PM and/or Eng. on specific "limited scenarios" that apply. Please attach to the comment stream on this BZ.

2. kpatch is being promoted from Tech Preview to full support. Please update the 7.2 Release Note on kpatch to provide a link to a new KB that includes necessary details about functionality and support.

CCS DEPENDENCY: Confirm publication of KB 2206511 [Confirmed]

Thanks, Don. Can you review the updated text in bug 1160213? Is this the correct link to the update: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2016-0464.html ? (I think we should mention it as well).

Comment 6 Stephen Gilson 2016-04-12 13:56:19 UTC
jshortt and dbayly have both requested a review of the i40e update, in particular before republishing.

Lenka, thanks. This is exactly what the PE team wanted to do -- not let the i40e issue hold up posting the kpatch update.

Comment 21 Lenka Špačková 2016-10-21 12:15:33 UTC
The information about the i40e and i40evf drivers being fully supported, including the details, has been published:
