Document URL: https://docs.openshift.com/enterprise/3.1/admin_guide/overcommit.html#disabling-swap-memory Section Number and Name: Disabling Swap Memory Describe the issue: The documentation specifically notes and explains why this is very important. Suggestions for improvement: Add (or move) this section to the installation Prerequisites Section so everyone knows to do this. Additional information: In fact it might not be a bad idea to add most of the `Overcommitting` page to the Prerequisites as a lot of them seem important.
We have other (non-OSE) documents that recommend *not* to disable swap, e.g. https://access.redhat.com/solutions/546433 Before moving this to a pre-requisite we should double-check/clarify the recommendation itself
If we do decide this is something that is recommended we need to update the doc to indicate the recommended way to turn of swap persistently, as the current method is only for that boot.
