Description Oliver Ilian 2016-04-15 08:35:18 UTC
Description of problem:
When trying to open a test jnlp from Step 2 here: http://support.blackboardcollaborate.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=8336&questionID=1473&task=knowledge Firefox tries to open the meeting.jnlp file in Google Chrome, and Google Chrome only downloads the file

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.77-0.b03.el7_2.x86_64
gnome-shell-3.14.4-37.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
Open a file on a fresh Firefox or Chrome, or double click on a jnlp file in nautilus

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a file on a fresh Firefox or Chrome (test file see link above in Step2), or double click on a jnlp file in nautilus
2. Google Chrome is the default application for jnlp files
3.

Actual results:
Google Chrome opens and wants to download the file

Expected results:
Javaws should start the application

Additional info:
The file /usr/share/applications/javaws.desktop is available but does not associate by default with the right application

mimeinfo.cache seems to be correct too
grep jnlp /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache
application/x-java-jnlp-file=javaws.desktop;

I'm pretty sure itw associate jnlp with javaws. May it be chrome who messed up the system?
