Description of problem: After upgrading libinput the "vertical scroll" functionality of the Kensington Slimblade Trackball stopped working. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libinput.x86_64 1.2.3-1.fc23, I've worked around the issue by downgrading to 1.2.2-1.fc23. FYI, the trackball doesn't have a dedicated wheel for scrolling. Instead, scrolling is achieved by rotating the ball horizontally.
weird, there is no change that should affect this device between 1.2.2 and 1.2.3. Can you supply an evemu-record of a couple of scroll events please? sudo evemu-record > trackball.evemu, select the device from the list and trigger a scroll. Then attach the file here, thanks.
"Strange things did happen here, No stranger would it be." (J. Lawrence) I can no longer reproduce the bug. After I had downgraded libinput, I installed evemu, and prepared the logfile. Then I was too busy to upgrade again and reboot again, since I assumed you probably wanted logs from both working and broken states. (Actually, I upgraded again, without rebooting, but realized that I'd probbaly have to reboot. So I downgraded again, and decided to wait until a better time.) Today, I finally rebooted, and it works fine. I've decided to do another full upgrade to latest f23 packages today, which included new kernel etc. I did, rebooted, and everything's still working. Nevertheless, I'll attach the file that you had requested, produced when it worked.
