Now KVM support live guest migration between an AMD host to an Intel host and back. Import this feature in oVirt could be very interesting!

We don't test this properly (we need to support it across multiple operating systems, drivers, mix of CPUs, etc.) - the testing matrix is huge. We've had no high demand for this until now.
Patches to not enforce this restriction are welcome, to allow people to experiment with this, but we are not going to support it on a regular basis.

For the time being, closing. If you do have patches to support this, please re-open.
