Hi, Lamar

I have a local build of a somewhat recent abiword:

[herrold@centos-7 ~]$ rpm -qi abiword-3.0.1-4.el7.centos.x86_64
Name : abiword
Epoch : 1
Version : 3.0.1
Release : 4.el7.centos
Architecture: x86_64
Install Date: Thu 14 Apr 2016 04:20:03 PM EDT
Group : Applications/Editors
Size : 3888011
License : GPLv2+
Signature : (none)
Source RPM : abiword-3.0.1-4.el7.centos.src.rpm

but the current upstream SVN and its build instructions are simply too stale for words. I know there are some upstream fixes for Wayland and such, but the maintainer is not able get the time to stabilize and then to cut a currently working variant

Would the SRPM do you any good? I seem to recall discussing this in the Sci Linux ML, but ...

Thanks, Russ. Yes, sure, the SRPM might do some good. I know Smooge has an Abiword build as well, and I've test-driven that one.

Going to close this as won't fix. If someone wants to step up to do the work it can be revived.
