Created attachment 1151139 [details] Thunderbird screenshot Description of problem: After a recent batch of updates, Thunderbird's UI glitches very badly to the point of being unusable with blackened regions and double-up of UI components (see attached screenshot). Rolling back gtkmm update has made no difference. Attached is the full list of recently upgraded packages.

After further investigation, it looks like the issue is due to a recent update of the Lightning Calendar update. Disabling that addon prevents the UI glitches.

Are you able to reproduce by mozilla binaries ( http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/45.0/ )?
